Singapore won the right to host the FIRST inaugural Youth Olympics in 2010!!!!

The international Olympic Comittee(IOC) voted 53-to-44 for Singapore, instead of Moscow... We beat Moscow... Yeah.. We may be small, but we, Singaporeans can be united and be very strong and powerful....

Yesterday, when I was on my way home, i tuned into the tv mobile radio station where they had a live telecast on the result of the YOG 2010. Just as my train exited the bedok tunnel, IOC president, Mr Rogge announced the winning city to be Singapore. I was thrilled... Nearly jumped up of my seat in that crowded MRT and screamed: "We won the YOG bid".. Lucky for me, i was able to content myself. I think only the lady standing in front of me saw my eyes were widely open and smiling at myself... so pei seh.. haha.. but u cant blame me... I'm a truely "I-love-singapore" gal... *0*

Kudos to the National olympic council committee and all the singaporeans who supported the bid in one way or the other.... Well, from all the news reports, we can see that Mr Teo Ser Luck put all his upmost effort into this bid... During last night live telecast from Padang, mr Teo Jogged his way there and he wore this super short pants... woohoo... he's so cute and good looking... hahaha...

Ever since he entered the Parliment, I had this feeling that one day, he will be getting a big role in the government. He's smart and has the potential to be a great leader. Furthermore, he's still pretty young which makes him a role model for the younger generation of Singaporeans. His addition to the government did inject a spunk of youthfulness into our "ah paks" PAP... haha...

Way to go Mr Teo... Jia You.. The effort u have put in for the YOG 2010 bid has bear its fruits... even PM Lee knows that u dream abt it for the past 7 months... And now Ur dreams has become a reality!!!!

Mr Teo Ser Luck.. he's also the MP of Pasir Ris.. Yeah...

Well Done, Singapore!!! Feel sooooo proud to be a Singaporean.... hehehe...  I have faith in my country's ability to host a mega event in a fun, diverse and yet well coordinated and efficient manner..

I give my full support to our nation for success in organising the first Youth Olympic Games..
I'm planning to be a volunteer in the YOG 2010. Anyone know where do I apply for it???

I met up with my BIE clique last friday at marina Square for dinner at hotpot culture... It has been almost 2 months since we last met each other. All of us are busy with our IA. And our dearest clique was splitted into various companies all over Singapore...

The place was pretty nice ambiance, good service , wide variety of food, both steamboat ingredients and cooked food.. and they also got chocolate fondue.... yummy... love their tom yam soup base... but the only negative thing is it's steamboat pot. They served each person with our own mini steamboat.. Kinda funny.. cos normally, one will expect lots of ppl to crowd around a steamboat pot...cosy feeling rite.. but for us, 4 of us put our pots together so that we can have more variety of soup...

During dinner, we caught up with one another... sharing our experience we had in IA so far... There are things that make me envy and also feel lucky at the same time. Well, i have friends who can go out for long lunch break, boss that is eazy to deal with, while some had difficult time with their colleagues... Nevertheless, we miss the days we had in NTU...  suddenly, it came upon me that i'm only left with 1 semester in school.. i will definitely miss my clique.. the time we spend together...

Well, sharing with u guys the pics we took on that day:

Wishing all my friends out there, Happy Valentine's Day!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Movie Plot:

Holly Kennedy is beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life - a passionate, funny, and impetuous Irishman named Gerry. So when Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry. So it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of letters that will guide her, not only through her grief, but in rediscovering herself. The first message arrives on Holly's 30th birthday in the form of a cake, and to her utter shock, a tape recording from Gerry, who proceeds to tell her to get out and "celebrate herself". In the weeks and months that follow, more letters from Gerry are delivered in surprising ways, each sending her on a new adventure and each signing off in the same way; P.S. I Love You. Holly's mother and best friends begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future. With Gerry's words as her guide, Holly embarks on a journey of rediscovery in a story about marriage, friendship and how a love so strong can turn the finality of death into a new beginning for life.

Anyone want to watch this movie with me??

远水难救近火,远亲不如近邻。

Last night, I went out with my mum to do some last minute shopping for CNY. While i was driving my dad's pick-up to White Sand, I realised that the steering wheel became really tied. When I needed to turn my pick up into the White Sand enterance, i have to used many more times of strength to turn the steering wheels. The first thing that came to my mind was flat tyres... But the tyres were perfectly fine. While my mum went to NTUC to buy her stuff, i went to check out my pick-up.. Under the dim street lamps, i could only see some brown liquid dripping from the boot area...

I panicked a little and called my dad for help... but he didnt know what's wrong.. then i remembered the car mechanics that helped us once last year.. Called him and told him my situation and he said it could be due to the leaking of the power steering oil. As he was busy at that moment, I need to get someone else to help me. The first person that came to my mind was Kelvin... He has a car and stays at pasir ris and he can just pop by the petrol station and help me get the power steering oil... Lucky for me, he was at home when i called him... then he and YInru came down to my resecue with that bottle of oil...

As the leaking was pretty bad, after pouring a fair amount of oil, the steering wheels only loosen by abit. So it will be pretty difficult for me to manuve the car through the turns that i need to drive by on my way home.. The first big turn which i need to overcome would be the round-about in front of White sand.. As there were quite a number of cars parked at that area, Kelvin and Yinru accompanied me while i waited for the cars to leave that area.. After about an hour, i tried to drive the leaking pick-up while kelvin drove behind me... more like excotting me... haha...

This was quite an experience for me and i really appreciate kelvin and yinru's help last night... Without you two, i'll still be stranded by the roadside till dun noe wat time... U guys sarifice your quality time together to help me... i'm so touched.. I always believed that during troubled time, one can finally find their true friends... there is also a saying in chinese: 远水难救近火,远亲不如近邻。From the bottom of my heart, I'll like to say a big thank you to both of you...

谢谢你们!!

Last friday was totally a non-working day for me. I spent then whole morning sitting in front of my com and surf the jet-star website. Then, met up with my NTU coursemates for lunch. When I returned back to the office, my boss onli told me to blast some sequences which took onli 5 minutes. Pretty simple job...

When we got nothing to do, the crappy me started to draw pictures of my colleagues in TRF...

Artist @ work

I'm so proud of my work. ^-^

My masterpiece.

Another version after playing around with Photoshop.

Group photo.. spot any resemblance??!!

A younger version of my Jap boss.

After photoshoping the group picyure, I decided to make a CNY card with the pic and got everyone to sign on it and gave it to our boss... He was pretty happy becos he saw the picture I drew of him was alot more younger... I was wondering if this was the reason for his happy mood the whole week... haha...

THis morning when I passed by my boss's office, i was surprised to see our card being pasted on his door.... hahaha.... I assuming that he appreciates it so he pasted it there.. A reminder for him to stay happy and be nice to us... haha...

I'm beginning to appreciate my boss for his willingness to teach me and share his working experience with me.
